before you book.
Do I need to bring my own photographer?
Not at all. Book a guided portrait session and we handle everything — lighting, direction, posing, and delivery. Or rent the space and bring your own team.
What's included in a studio rental?
All rentals include professional lighting and your chosen backdrop zone — Cyclorama wall, brick wall, or color backdrops. Full space rentals give you access to all zones.
Can I come see the space before I commit?
Absolutely — we love walkthroughs. Reach out via the contact page or DM us on Instagram to set up a quick tour.
How easy is it to get here on public transit?
Very easy. We're a short walk from the Green Line (Mt. Vernon Square) and Red Line (NoMa–Gallaudet U). Your whole team can get here without a car.
What are your hours?
Open 7 days a week, 9am to 11pm. Early shoots, late nights, weekends — we work around your schedule.
Do you work with first-timers?
This is one of our favorite things. JRCB was built to be welcoming — not intimidating. If it's your first time in front of a camera, we'll guide you through every moment.
